Hello and welcome back to another blog post! This is just a quick, clean and simple card that you could easily make for Father’s Day, or other holidays as well. Today’s cards feature the Globe Greeting set from Concord & 9th. Please watch the video below to see my process in detail!
I started out by making the backgrounds for the globes, which used alcohol inks on vellum. I am no expert with alcohol inks, but they sure are fun to play with! If you use them, be sure that you work in a well-ventilated area. Maybe open up a window or two, these things are potent! Once the vellum was all dry, I used the coordinating dies to cut out the circle for the globe. I then stamped the sentiment on the back of the vellum paper using Ranger Archival Black Ink.
Gina K In the Navy ink and cardstock finish off this card. I was a geography minor in college, and my dad works in the geography field, so I knew that I had to have this set for Father’s Day cards. While I made one for my dad, I made an identical second for my future father-in-law as well.
