My Project:

To watch me make this card in detail, watch the video below!

Christmas to me screams gold and red, so when I saw the Poinsettia stamp set, I knew that I would gold heat emboss the images. Because it is hard on your markers to color images that have been heat embossed, I stamped first with a black ink, colored my images with copic markers, and then stamped over the colored images with versamark ink and heat embossed then. This technique is made possible with a MISTI tool.

  1. The gold embossing really does set the image and sentiments off. Your coloring is incredible as well. Lovely work!

  2. I loved that you heat embossed after the coloring. Learned something new that was possible to do. I can’t wait to try it.

  3. Wow what an elegant looking card! I always love to see cards done in gold embossing and then colored!

  4. Your card is beautiful and thanks for the embossing tip! I never would have thought to color first and emboss over the original image! (ya learn something new everyday, lol)

  5. Definitely Christmas beauty!! Great video… that solves the copic nib damage…brilliant and so so beautiful!
